The why behind Ride for a cure
Giving our kids today a future tomorrow 🎗
Ride for a Cure was established in 2018 by Jeremy Reeves in memory of his daughter, Elyse Reeves, who lost her battle with cancer at just 17 months old. Our goal is to raise money for brain tumor research and to help local families who have been impacted by this terrible disease.
Did you know that more children die of cancer than any other disease? 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer will not survive. There are over 500,000 children in the United States who are fighting this terrible disease.
These facts are difficult to hear, but awareness is necessary. The Elyse Reeves Foundation was born from the pain that the Reeves family faced and the deep desire to make a difference for other families that are facing similar situations. Baby Elyse Reeves is the inspiration and why behind this event. Together, we have raised almost $200k for research of ALL cancers as well as helping other families who also are affected by cancer.
